Majithia Case: Labour Commissioner’s Petition Likely to Come up on 16th Sept.

The Registry of the Supreme Court of India has listed the Petition/Application of the Labour Commissioner of Uttarakhand to be heard on 16.09.2016, in its advance list by the bench comprising Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice P.C. Pant for recalling the warrant of his arrest

It needs to be mentioned here that the Labour Commissioner Dr. Anand Srivastava has said in his petition that he has a flawless and bright service career record of eleven years. This indiscretion of not attending the Hon’ble Court in person on the last date of hearing i.e. 23.08.2016 was neither deliberate nor intentional. The order issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court for his arrest will certainly have the bearing on his future service prospect and therefore he has prayed the order to be recalled.
