Indian Federation of Working Journalists (IFWJ) has strongly condemned the heinous attack on some journalists at Moradabad in the Media Conference of Akhilesh Yadav. The incident was graver because it happened in the presence of the Samajwadi Party Chief and the journalists were attacked by his security personnel.
In a statement, the IFWJ Secretary Siddharth Kalhans and the Treasurer Rinku Yadav have demanded that due compensation should be given to all injured journalists in all such cases and a thorough probe must be conducted to identify the guilty persons to punish them.
The Vice -President of the IFWJ Hemant Tiwari has appealed to all organisations to sink their differences to ensure the safety and security of the journalists. He has also appealed to the media persons that they should use the media conferences for eliciting information rather than converting them into the forum of acrimonies.
